2025-2026 Urban Deer Hunt, Hot Springs Village

The following items are required to participate in the 2025 – 2026 Urban Deer Hunt:

1. Valid Arkansas big game hunting license (resident or non-resident 16 years or older.)
2. Valid International Bowhunter Education Program Card (IBEP)
3. Valid Urban Bowhunting tags (issued by AR Game & Fish to the city of HSV)
4. Valid Vehicle Dash Placard.
5. Pass shooting proficiency test (if required)
6. Shoot from elevated deer stands 10 feet above ground
7. Must have name & phone number on deer stands, feeders and cameras
8. Must remove all deer stands, feeders, and cameras at the end of the hunt. Failure to do so will result in HSV confiscating all equipment.
9. Use longbow, recurve, or compound bow with at least 35-pound pull & broadheads at least 7/8-inch wide (use of mechanicals is permissible). String locks are not permitted. Crossbows with a minimum draw weight of 125 pounds & mechanical safety are allowed.
10. Do not leave deer entrails near trails, streets, or dirt roads. Cover entrails with leaves.
11. Zero Tolerance Policy on Deer Not Being Field Dressed.
12. Tampering or theft of property may result in charges being filed and loss of HSV hunting privileges.
13. Residents caught tempering or removing a hunter’s equipment will be charged.
14. Hunt in designated areas and at least 50 yards from trails, parks golf courses, lakes, private residents, public facilities, and all roads.

16. If hunting on private property, you must carry written permission from property owner on your person.
17. Hunt at least 50 yards from any occupied dwelling.
18. Hunters must attend HSV Orientation to show current license, cards, and sign POA waiver. Maps & dash placards will be handed out and questions answered.
19. Both bucks and does are allowed to be harvested. Deer harvested must be adult deer and the first deer must be donated to Arkansas Hunters Feeding the Hungry (hunter’s responsibility to deliver to refrigerated trailer or to your processor). No fawns or yearlings can be donated to Hunters Feeding the Hungry Program.
20. Check the harvest to the appropriate Urban Deer Zone via online at www.agfc.com using the AGFC app, or by telephone toll free 1-844-527-4868 within 24 hours of harvest.
21. Record harvest confirmation number and date of harvest on the back of vehicle dash placard.
22. A maximum of two (2) deer stands are allowed for each hunter.
23. Absolutely NO ATVs or Off-Road Vehicles of any kind allowed in The Village.
24. No cutting of any trees of any size.
