Q: Who is required to take the International Bowhunter Education Program (IBEP) online course?
A: All first-time hunters are required to take the course. It’s a “one-time thing”. Once you have taken and passed the course you don’t have to take it again. Bring proof of IBEP course completion to the orientation on August 17th. As part of the IBEP program you are also required to attend the “FIELD DAY” that is conducted during the orientation on August 17th.
Q: When can I set my stand, feeder, and game camera?
A: August 24, 2024. Stands, feeders, and cameras can be set on or after August 24, 2024
Q: What do I need to do to mark my stand location?
A: Attach a white piece of paper (at least 5” x 7”) with your name, phone number, and CID number. Place in zip lock bag or laminated plastic. Tie it to your tree or stand in a place where it can easily be seen. If you do not do this your stand could be confiscated.
Q: Do I still need to have my name and phone number on my feeder, camera, and stand?
A: YES. Your hunting stand, camera, and feeder MUST be marked with your name and phone number? Your stand will be confiscated if your name and phone number are not marked on your equipment. It MUST be visible and legible from the ground.
Q: What is the CID number?
A: It is your unique ID number and can be found on your Arkansas Hunting license.
Q: Do I have to donate my first deer to Hunters Feeding the Hungry?
A: YES. Every hunter MUST donate their first harvested deer and it MUST be a Doe. So, make sure your first deer harvested is a mature Doe.
Q: Can fawns or yearlings be harvested?
A: YES. Fawns or yearlings can be harvested after your first mature Doe is harvested and donated to HFTH. ONLY MATURE DEER CAN BE DONATED.
Q: Do I have to field dress my deer before donated?
A: YES. All donated deer MUST be field dressed.
Q: What is the proper disposal of deer enthralls?
A: Either dig a hole and bury them or haul them out with you.
Q: What is the 50-yard restriction?
A: Your stand MUST be at least fifty yards from any road (including unimproved roads), lake, golf course, structure, walking trail.
Q: What do I do if another hunter places a stand near my stand?
A: If your stand location is marked with your information, you and the other hunter must work it out. If a dispute continues, the stand will be required to be moved. If both do not move their stands they will be confiscated.
Q: What should I do if a resident interferes with my hunt?
A: Call HSV police 501-922-0011.
Q: When do I have to remove my stands, feeders, and cameras from HSV property?
A: Remove your items within TWO weeks after the last day of the HSV Urban Deer Hunt. All items MUST be removed on or before March 16, 2025.
Q: How many stands can each hunter have?
A: Each hunter may have a maximum of two (2) stands.
